Email Opt-In and Validation

Before you send email, your list needs two things: permission and valid addresses.

Permission means people have agreed to hear from you.

Sending only to those people keeps your email out of spam folders.

To check a contact, click their email address.

Opt-In Status shows whether you have permission.

Validation Status shows whether the address has been checked.

Validation checks each address and catches typos and addresses that would bounce.

The system won't send your blast until your opted-in contacts are validated.

Go to Contacts, then Group Actions.

About This Workgroup shows how many opted-in contacts need Email Validation.

Click Validate.

Then click Start Email Validation.

Addresses that don't pass are opted out, so you won't send to them.

To see your whole list, go to Reports, then Email Opt-In Status.

Clean lists reach more inboxes.
