Advanced Search

Advanced Search finds contacts by details the basic filters don't cover.

Open Contacts, click Contact List, then click Advanced Search.

Let's find new contacts who aren't in a workflow yet, so nobody slips through the cracks.

Each line is one filter, so click the first box to choose what to search by.

Fields are grouped, like dates, opt-in status, boards, custom fields and workflows.

You can also type to find one fast.

Pick Add Date, the day each contact was added.

In the next box, choose is in the last number of days.

Type 7, for anyone added this past week.

Click Add Another Filter for a second line.

This time, pick Has No Active Workflow.

Match all means a contact has to fit every line.

Match any means fitting just one is enough.

Click Search.

Now you see everyone added this week who still needs follow-up, and the count tells you how many.

To use this search again, click Save Search.

Click Save As New Saved Search.

Give it a name you'll recognize.

If you use it often, check Create Dashboard Widget.

Then click Save.

Your dashboard opens with the new box right at the top.

Click Done.

Its count is always up to date.

Click the number, and you're right back at the results.

It's in Saved Searches too, so you can pick it from this list anytime.

It always shows whoever matches right now.
